I met tom in 2022 at camp compost. I could tell he was a rare human. Never did I fully know who I was interacting with. His spirit kept you listening

The first time I met Tom he jumped down three flights of stairs at Hempfield High School. Then, after high school, I had the privilege of walking barefoot through his fields with him, watching sunsets, yelling for Gator, and eating meals with Pete. He showed me purple potatoes and tomatoes. So moved by his family’s property, it inspired me to write a short story about his recently deceased mom for the college class I was in at the time. He really appreciated that. I’ll always remember him, and am eternally grateful for the healing time we had together. Thank you for everything, Tom. You were truly one of a kind and the world will never be the same without you. The day I found out you were gone, I sat at the skate park in County Park, where you made me stand on a board- and I didn’t fall going down the ramp:) I’ll find you on the other side someday. It’s just goodbye for now and it brings me peace to know you’re with your mom again.

I met Tom Cult9n as a friend of my daughter Danielle when they were in middle school and high school. My most vivid memory of him was his kindness and compassion in taking care of his mother when she was suffering from cancer. I thought he was a truly loving and wonderful son.

First meet Tommy in 7th grade, he was wearing a Charlie Brown t-shirt and oversized skateboard pants. This is what got us to know each other. We both loved skateboarding and it just so happened he lived 5 minutes down the road. Had some good times snowboarding also. After school years I would see him at the local Turkey Hill or Trios and always would catch up. He was one truly great individual. Rest in peace my friend. See you on the other side of the kickflip
