Toki's obituary

Tokiko P. LaLone, known affectionately as Toki, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, in Sarasota, FL, at the age of 88. She was born on March 10, 1935, in Tokyo, Japan, and moved to the United States with her husband, Leo, in 1972.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thurs., at St. Martha's Catholic Church at 200 N. Orange Avenue, Sarasota, FL, 34236

Following the funeral mass burial will take place at 1:00 PM at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Highway 72, Sarasota, FL, 34241.

After the burial, friends are invited to attend a reception at the VFW Hall (Post 3233) at 124 S. Tuttle Avenue, Sarasota, FL, 34237.

Toki will be remembered as a generous and proud person. She had a passion for crafts, including oil painting, ceramics, knitting, cooking, and gardening. There wasn't much she couldn't do when it came to expressing her creativity. Her talent and dedication were truly remarkable.

Toki is survived by her loving six children, eight grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She deeply cherished her family and leaves behind a legacy of love and care.

Toki is predeceased by her husband, Leo H LaLone, Sr, of 55 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to the strength of their commitment and devotion.

Toki found solace and inspiration in her faith. She was a member of St. Martha's Catholic Church in Sarasota, where she worshipped and found comfort in her spiritual journey.

In honor of Toki's memory, contributions can be made to St. Martha's Catholic Church, Tidewell Hospice Sarasota, or VFW Sunshine Post 3233. Your support will help continue the work and causes that were dear to her heart.
