Todd's obituary

Todd Douglas McCoy, 46, passed away on January 12, 2026. A 1998 graduate of United High School, Todd distinguished himself as an exceptional athlete. He was the leading rusher for the football team during his senior year, playing halfback with a combination of power and determination that made him unforgettable on the field. His talents extended to the wrestling mat as well, where he earned a third place finish at the PIAA Wrestling Championships, an achievement that reflected his tenacity and relentless work ethic.

Todd continued his athletic journey at Waynesburg University, playing one year of football before transferring and proudly graduating from Robert Morris College. After college, he built a diverse career in both the mining and construction industries, where he was known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.

Todd found joy and freedom on the open road with his cherished Harley motorcycle. He was also a passionate woodworker and a collector of antiques.

Above all else, Todd was defined by his unwavering loyalty. He stood by his family and friends with devotion regardless of the trial or tribulation.

Todd is survived by his beloved son, Gavin; his parents, William and Ginger McCoy; his brother, Matthew McCoy; his sister, Brandy Pollock; and a large, loving extended family of nieces and nephews who adored him. He also leaves behind countless friends who were fortunate enough to share in his laughter, his stories, and his generous spirit.

He will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, and that unmistakable grin he brought into every room. His memory will continue to ride alongside all who loved him.
