My dearest friend, Tisha—a woman woman who was so much more than words can fully capture. This is so hard for me because you were my heart, my loyal companion, and the one who stood by me through every moment and every joy. Tisha wasn’t just a friend; she was family, a constant light in my life, and I feel her absence now like a piece of my soul has gone quiet.

Tisha and I shared a bond that can’t be explained, through years of laughter, creativity, and countless memories. We spent so much time together running errands for Jeff and the dogs -Baby Girl, Milo and Boo. We did crafts together, going to craft fairs, Kohl’s and Target your to favorite stores. Let’s not forget DD. Before I left Florida I brought her DD Carmel iced coffee. She couldn’t believe I would bring it after midnight. It was the least I could do. She would have done anything for me. That’s the woman she was. She loved deeply and she was there for all of us. 
She let me have full access to her life and she always made me apart of it. She even wanted me there when Meg was delivered. She cared so deeply. 
We were unstoppable when we were together. We helped each other even after work hours. Always trying to help each other and take care of our patients. 
Tisha’s support was unwavering. She lifted me up when I faltered, cheered me on when I doubted, and reminded me of my own strength when I’d forgotten it. Her loyalty was a rare and beautiful thing, a quiet promise that she’d always be there. And she was—through every triumph, every tear, every ordinary day that she made extraordinary just by being herself.

This is so hard to write...i was a new graduate nurse in 2004 and Tisha was my charge nurse on CMU. I worked with her for 10 years until I moved away but by then, we were much more than coworkers, we were buddies. Tisha was funny, hysterically funny, and kind, kind to everyone, always willing to help others. I learned so much from her, as a nurse and as a person. I miss her terribly, but the love and memories I have of her will always stay with me. I love you, Girl. 🥰

I graduated from high school with Tish, so we had been friends for a long time. We both became nurses (she much earlier in life than I) and I am a traveling nurse. I took a travel contract in Leesburg, FL, not knowing until after I accepted the contract that it was the hospital she worked at! I then found out I’d be working on her unit, and working the same shift! She was the charge nurse, so therefore she was my supervisor! What a cool boss she was! I will miss her!
