Tina's obituary
We are saddened to announce the passing of Tina Bridget Terry, age 53. Tina was born in Newfoundland, Canada on February 18th, 1970 to Zena Faulkner and the late Patrick Leonard and regretfully passed on March 24th, 2023 at her home. After spending most of her life in Norfolk, Virginia she recently moved to Corbin, Kentucky where she spent her last few years of life. She was a woman of strong Faith and spent many days singing in the choir. Tina loved to sing and had a voice that was said to compete with two of her favorite artists, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner. She loved spending her days outside and could usually be found gardening. She never met a stranger and brought a little sunshine to the lives of everyone she encountered. She was known to be a friend to all, and would quite literally give you the shirt off of her back, even if she needed it more than you did. One of her passions in life was caring for animals. It's said that animals can sense when someone is simply a good soul, and that has to be true with how many animals she was caring for at any given time. She was a wonderful mother to her dog Spot and that can be seen in how gentle and good-natured he is. Tina was the epitome of love, laughter, and positivity. She enjoyed being around family and was a one of a kind daughter, sister, aunt and friend. In her younger years, she was quite the favored babysitter of her nieces and nephews, and they always came home with a wild new tale to tell of their Aunt Tina. Those memories will live on forever. If you were lucky enough to have met Tina in this lifetime, let her perpetually positive outlook on life live on through you. And remember to be kind to everyone, because Tina would be. She will be forever missed.
She was preceded in death by her father: Patrick Leonard; and her stepfather: Willie Terry.
Tina is survived by her mother: Zena Moseley and stepfather Jim Moseley of MD; sister Debbie Fischer of VA; brother Walter Terry and wife April of MD; sister Natasha Terry and husband Billy of VA; brother Patrick Terry and wife Michelle of VA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and many other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing.
