Tina Johnson Solomon, age 62 of Fairfax, Virginia passed away at sunrise on Sunday morning, January 12, 2020. Tina was born July 18, 1957 in Washington, DC the daughter of Harry Johnson and Victoria Kelly. She lived her entire life in the DC Metropolitan area. Her earliest days were spent growing up in the Springfield area which led to her graduating from Lee High School and beginning a lifetime of friendships. After high school she attended American University where she graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice before attending Computer Learning Center in Springfield which launched her career as a Programmer, Analyst and eventually a Program Manager.

Tina was married in 1983 to Eric Solomon . She was the mother of 7, Stevie, Mikie, Aaron, Josh, David, Bobby and daughter, Sarah. She was also a grandmother to Mikie Jr.. No matter how busy her life was she always made time for her family and her friends, there was nothing you couldn't ask her to do, as she was always willing to help. Tina was a dedicated sports fan when it came to her children, she loved watching them compete and hated to miss a game.

Nothing was more special then spending time with her family and looking forward to the annual trips to the beach each summer to sit on the oceans edge or view the sunrise and sunset from the condos balcony. Maybe its only fitting after her long battle with this illness, that as the sun came up on Sunday morning Tina passed on as the new day arrived.

The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last days, all the well wishers, the care packages and the prayers. For those who have known Tina and would like to attend her memorial with us, we will be having a service at The City Gates church Wednesday at 11:30am Jan 22 and her graveside service will be held at Fairfax Memorial Park at 1pm.
