Tina Michelle Kirkman Long

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tina Michelle Kirkman Long on Friday, September 26, 2025. Tina was born on August 31, 1967, to Bill and Christine Parrish Kirkman. She was preceded in death by both parents.

She is survived by Mike Long; her sons Michael W. Long, John W. Long (Rachel) and special friend who was like a daughter, Ashley Powers. sisters, Tonya Holder (Ted), Christy Allen (Crystal) and Cathy Sink (David). There are also many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins that she deeply loved.

Tina spent many years working at The Kerner House until the business closed.

She then managed a Steak House in Brevard, N. C. Upon her return to Kernersville, she became employed at Captain Tom’s Seafood Restaurant and was well known as a super waitress. Tina loved her customers and the staff she worked with. She always had a smile on her face; was known as the life of the party and known for her many antics. She loved and enjoyed singing, riding horses and having a garden.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside at Hayworth-Miller, Kernersville Chapel.
