Tim's obituary

Tim Wafstet, age 69, of Diamond Point (Sequim), died on his birthday at Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles on September 11, 2021. Tim battled Pulmonary Fibrosis for nearly ten years, was on oxygen, and was treated by several wonderful doctors in the area.

Tim was the middle of five children born to William C. And Katherine Marie (Gallagher) Wafstet in Missoula, Montana, born on September 11, 1952.

Tim attended Loyola Catholic High School in Missoula, Gonzaga University in Spokane, and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. After graduating from NIU with a master's degree in computer sciences, he went to work for the phone company in Seattle, working as a computer systems analyst, where he met his wife, Cindi Dean. Tim and Cindi celebrated their 42 wedding anniversary in March of this year.

When word circulated among friends and neighbors, the common comment from people was what a nice guy Tim was, and he was. No one ever had a bad thing to say about him.

Tim was preceded in death by their daughter, Courtney Marie Wafstet, his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Kathy Wafstet van Houten and Roger van Houton, his aunt Helen Beebout, mother-in-law Lucille Underwood, and stepfather-in-law, Del Underwood,

He is survived by his wife, Cindi, son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Hollie Wafstet, grandchildren Maliyah, Na'Tyia, and Cody, great-grandson, Houston James, his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Margaret Wafstet, his sister and brother-in-law, Monica Wafstet-Solin and Kim Solin, his brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Elona Wafstet, nieces and nephews, Joanne and Joe Bonn and their son, Ethan, Karla and Geoffrey Lancaster, and their children, Faun, Aren, Allison, and Sera, Michael and Angel van Houten and their children, Jonathan (Shayla and their children), Dorathia Waller (husband and child), Harlon and Naomi, Alexis Wafstet and her son Damian and wife Arielle, Tracy and Chris Holbrook, and their sons Mason and Jackson, Michelle and Mike Lewis and their children, Makaylyn and Micaiah, Travis and Kari Wafstet, and their children, Anastasia, Bryan, Isabelle, and Madeline, Kati and Marcus Kelsey, Jared and Shana Stolz and his children, David and Joshua, Becky Stolz and her children, Connor, Brayden, and Everly, Jennifer and Patrik Thomas, Hannah and Dayne Burrell and their daughter Rylee. Also survived by his in-laws, Dale and Terry Dean, Dale and Glenn Fukura and Steve and Carla Dean and nieces and nephews, Kelsey and Ben Wozniak, Jason and Cari Fukura, and their children, Makenzie Dean and Carsen Dean, mother-in-law, Wendy Marsh Vann, and ex-niece-in-law, Maria Friesen.

There will be no services at Tim's request, and will be cremated. He has requested that his ashes be scattered on Mt. Rainier. His son, Chris, and grandson, Cody, plan to follow his wishes next summer.

Many people remember his Cedar Box business, making trellises, planter boxes, arbors, and other garden items. He also made other small keepsake boxes with lids, and one will serve as a container for his ashes.
