Tim's obituary

On February 13, 1966, Timothy Pierre Campbell was born in Brooklyn, New York. He was preceded in death by his mother the late Dorothy Lee Campbell, his spiritual mom Gladys Brew Hanson and two siblings Avis and Eric.

On Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at home, Tim heard and responded to the sound from heaven calling him home to be with his Lord and Savior.

Tim grew up in Brooklyn, New York. As a teenager he accepted the Lord at Gods Watchtower of Prayer under the leadership of his Aunt Pastor Vivi Perkins. During his early teens in Marlboro Housing Development, he would lay hands and pray for people who were sick in the neighborhood, and lead people young and old to Christ; individuals would literally seek him out if they or someone in their family was sick requesting prayer.

In 1984 Tim graduated from Dewey High School and then enlisted in the US army where he received an honorable discharge in 1987.

In 1991 at the age of 25, Timothy re-located from Brooklyn, New York, to Alexandria, Virginia. In 1992 Tim started his career as a professional barber at the Hair Expressions in Alexandria where he worked for 30 years. He ministered, prayed for and counseled countless souls who came into the shop.

In 1993 Tim became a member of Temple of Jesus under the leadership of the late Pastor Douglas E. Baltimore who fathered and mentored him. Tim served on the outreach team and was a musician playing the Congo’s on the praise team. He would also volunteer to assist with the youth ministry. Tim attended 6:00 AM prayer with Pastor Baltimore and would always say, “God is exalted, Jesus is Lord, and the devil is defeated” and would throw his fingers up in the air like Pastor Baltimore would do.

In September of 1996 Tim married his lovely wife Michelle Wyche Campbell and from this union were born three beautiful children, Asher, Kayla and Josiah.

In 2004 Tim joined Victorious Life Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Terry Wayne Millender where he served on the leadership team and was ordained Pastor in 2005. Pastor Tim served in outreach, couples counseling, and ministered in Prisons.

In 2007 Pastor Tim founded a ministry group called Radical Recovery where people who struggled with any type of addiction received powerful insight and inspiration for transformation. In the same year Midnight Cry was also birthed in the basement of his home in Alexandria Virginia. Midnight Cry was a time of intercessory prayer from midnight until Holy Spirit lifted. He also, wrote a book called the Fire Manual which he did not have an opportunity to publish.

In 2017 Pastor Tim became a member of Relentless DC Church, under the leadership of Apostle Malik Edwards and Prophet Ashley Edwards. Pastor Tim led the care team, counseled, prayed for and was a dear friend to many at Relentless DC Church where he served in leadership until his call home.

Pastor Tim loved his family and was a great provider and protector of his wife and children. He taught his children how to pray and love Jesus. Pastor Tim was someone that you could count on if you needed a hand, word of encouragement or someone to pray for you. He had great faith and lived out the scripture, Philippians 4 13“I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength”. Pastor Tim loved studying the word, guns, football, chess, reading books, action movies, dogs, shopping, joking, exploring different restaurants, music and he loved pranking people. One of Pastor Tim’s favorite scriptures was Psalm 46:10 “Be still, know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”. Pastor Tim will be sorely missed and never forgotten by countless family members and friends. His legacy will live on in each of us.

Pastor Tim leaves to cherish in memory: a loving and beautiful wife of 25 years, Michelle Campbell, one aunt Vivi Perkins, two sisters, Valerie and Geralyn, his adopted sisters Mona, Jacqueline, and Genevieve, one brother Al, five children, Justin, Hadiya, Asher, Kayla, Josiah and His spiritual son’s Matthew and Simon, eight brothers-in-law David, John, Charles, Donald, Douglas, Gregory, Michael and Marcus. three sisters-in-law Alicia, Felicia and Frankie, a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, spiritual brothers, spiritual sisters and spiritual children. His God children, Tiana, Taniya and Joshua. His Armor bearer Branden Turner.
