Watching him with our brother Sundown driving around in the golf cart at the family reunion. It was hilarious!!!!!
In response to "What was the most fun you ever had with Timothy?"
We met for the very first time after our father, Earl Myers’ was murdered in Houston, Tx., I was barely 17 and Tim was 25. We were both very shy. I think we barely spoke 15 words to each other. He was the tall athlete while I was the short one so I became a jockey and he a triathlete. He was kind and treated people accordingly. There will never be another Tim Myers.

Ever since I met Tim in 1965 when I began dating his Aunt Vickey he struck me as being a fun-loving gentle soul who cared for others. As a teen and as a working young single man Tim enjoyed providing Christmas gifts every year to all his many nieces and nephews. Through the years I never knew Tim to become angry or upset with anyone and he took life’s misfortunes in stride. He was a person of quiet faith with a strong determination to accomplish his set goals. He will be missed.

I met Tim in 1987 through mutual friends. Right away I was struck by the gentle and kind nature of his spirit and enjoyed getting to know this unique gentleman while I was on break from college. We kept up a correspondence for several years before I got married and we eventually lost touch as I moved out of state. Thankfully, a couple of decades later my dad, Bryn Ralph, met him through his fencing classes and we were able to reconnect through him. Then came Facebook and being able to stay in touch that way; what a blessing! Tim had the most beautiful and caring soul and it showed in the way he related to others. He couldn't stand to see injustice done and I personally witnessed to what great personal sacrifice he would go to in order to see that the right thing was done for someone else. Always good-natured--unless someone else was getting the short end of the stick--he was an uplifting, positive force in my life and I am so grateful to God for our friendship that lasted almost four decades. I and my Dad greatly miss this gentle man who was a true gentleman and we look forward to seeing him again one day in Heaven. Rest in peace, my friend!

I met Tim through co-worker after being transferred to Tyler from Louisiana in 1992. While living in Tyler for the next 8 years, Tim became like a brother. We rode literally thousands of miles on our bikes, swam and ran together. He took me all over East Texas on our weekend cycling excursions. We did several triathlons and concert road trips together well beyond my time in Tyler. He was in my wedding in OKC in 2015. I will miss his laugh and way he shared his faith. He was a selfless friend and fiercely competitive athlete. RIP my friend. Scott
Tim inspired me. He was two years older and encouraged me to begin mountain biking. I would tease him that there’s nobody our age on the trails. We would sit together at TCF and discussed after the service are next outing. He also came out to Father’s Love to teach our students fencing. He wanted them to experience a sport that he loved. I miss Tim. He had a great heart and loved the outdoors.
Special thanks to Janice Terry Phillips for being a friend to Tim and for providing food for the family after the service.

Tim always felt like my protective brother, truly a caring and sweet individual, so willing to share what ever he had with you, but most of all his time. Love to his precious family.
Since I met him,Tim was always more than a friend for me, someone you could share your life with. DEP.
Love forever
My brother was my travel partner and opened my eyes and my heart to the wonders of Europe. We were able to make four trips together and planned many more. He was the perfect tour guide because he knew so much about history. Once we got there the excitement and adventure was non-stop. On the trip that our sister Jerri made with us our motto became “but did we die?” He was my work - out partner and tried to keep his old sis in shape l am so blessed rhat l got to spend a lot of time with him and have so many precious memories. He was my best friend and the person l spent the most time on this earth with. Adios mi hermano. Ir con dios-until we meet again l love you so very much.

He was such a good athlete we did several duathlons and triathlons together wow what a true friend I will miss you my friend
Tim always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He was polite and kind. When he came to the family reunion he would make everyone comfortable around him. He told me every year how much the Adair family meant to him and I always had a tear to wipe from my eye. Riding his bike from Tyler to Lindale was a miracle to me. I couldn’t believe he could do that. Last year before Covid he came and gave all the brothers and sisters a written history of the Adair family from his travels in Europe. We will always cherish this and remember the love we had for him. Aunt Louise Adair Lyles

We are so sorry for the loss of your father. We can’t attend the funeral because my husband Billy Sims has COPD and can’t be around a crowd. We will be praying for you.
