Timothy “Tim” Lee Allen, beloved father and devoted grandfather went to his heavenly home on January 15, 2022. Tim was born on July 10, 1952 to the late Buffy Allen and Janette Purvis Allen. He grew up in the close knit community of Grove Hill, AL. In 1974, Tim moved to Birmingham to work with Rust Engineering and later with BE&K, where he was employed for 25 years. Tim was loved by many and affectionately known as “Tim the Tool Man,” “Dee-dah” or “Uncle Tim.” He had the heart of a servant and was the most fulfilled when he was helping a friend or neighbor. Tim is survived by his sister Kimberly Crumpton (Levi), brother Byron Allen, son Jarrod Allen (Stacy), grandson Jude Allen, and granddaughter Eva Allen. A celebration of life will be held in the courtyard of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:30PM.
