It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Timothy "Hoot Owl" Jones, affectionately known as Timothy, on September 1, 2023. Born on December 27, 1957, Timothy was a cherished individual known for his unique personality that left a memorable impression on all who knew him.

Timothy was a homebody at heart, finding immense joy in lounging at home and immersing himself in his favorite westerns. A proficient player of cards and pool, he found great pleasure in these games. However, the warmth of Timothy's persona was most vividly expressed in his love for his family. He deeply cared for his granddaughter Christina Hesson, nieces, and nephews.

He is survived by his granddaughter; Christina Hesson of Oak Grove, KY, his stepmother; Rita Jones, his sister; Frances Calvert, and his brothers; Terry Jones and Bert Jones all of Franklin, KY. Timothy was predeceased by his father Covis C. Jones, mother Flora Hazel (Boyd) Jones; both of Portland, TN, and sister Debra Walker of Russellville, KY. Each of these loved ones contributed to the richness of Timothy's life, and his affection for them was deep and enduring.

Timothy's personality was truly one of a kind. As many would comment, "Either you like him, or you don't." He was a character who left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered in his life's journey. His physical presence will certainly be missed, but the impact of his spirit on those who knew him will never be forgotten. Our sorrow is softened only slightly with the comforting thought that we will join him in eternity.
