Timothy's obituary
Timothy John Forbes Migneault, 48, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 31, 2023. He was born on July 4, 1975 in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Migneault; his parents; his mother & father-in-law Audrey & Rino Migneault; his beloved grandmother-in-law, Jean Mcpherson; his cat, Kitty; and the men and women he served with and loved deeply. He's predeceased by his favorite buddy, his cat Jinx.
Timothy served in the military from 1994 to 2016, entering as an enlisted member in the Navy, and completing his career service in the Air Force (USAF) as a Major at age 41. He received countless medals & high honors for his service.
He was a naturally gifted, exceptional leader and affectionately referred to those under his command as his ‘young thundercats’. The care of his team was his highest priority, and he felt responsibility for each and every one of their well being. He served with courage, honor, and duty.
Tim and Julie met in 2005 in Waltham, MA, where Tim was a young Captain at Hanscom Air Force Base, and Julie was in graduate school. Tim often told the story of their meeting to friends & family, and described the sensation as being ‘hit by a 2 x 4’. It was a case of love at first sight, and their love was deep, abiding and unconditional; though not without its challenges.
Tim was a true romantic and was known for writing Julie love notes, always opening her car door, planning surprises for her, and creating special experiences for them together. They both agreed that their love was the rare kind, and together their love defied all the odds.
Some of Tim’s many core qualities include his unparalleled courage, honor, pure heartedness, strength beyond measure, devotion to his family, inspirational leadership, excellence in all he did, charisma, brilliance, exceptional intelligence, and creativity.
Tim was a voracious learner, and returned to education upon leaving the military. His intention was to “make the world a cooler place” by serving others. After utilizing alternative healing in his own health journey, he dedicated himself to two years of full-time study in the field of alternative healing at the Barbara Brennan School of Healing and the Kerala Ayurveda Academy. He was in the process of receiving his Masters in Social Work from the prestigious graduate program at the University of Denver. He was the top of his class and admired by the faculty and his cohort.
One of Tim’s hobbies included his great passion for cooking for his family & friends. He created incredible meals, always personalized to each person he was cooking for. He enjoyed live music, reading, soccer, steam punk and travel. You could often catch him watching his favorite baking shows. But he enjoyed nothing more than quality time with his family. He loved making memories together, and the simplicity of a shared meal, followed by card games or snuggling up with a movie.
Though he couldn’t always see it, it is unanimous among those who knew him that it was incredibly easy to love Tim. Everywhere his journey took him, he developed meaningful relationships with people who couldn’t help but admire him. Many people who crossed Tim’s path expressed how safe & loved they felt in his presence. He was a natural provider & protector of all.
Above all else, Tim will be remembered as a good man, a wonderful husband, and devoted to his family. He was endlessly generous & loyal.
Tim persevered through a long and hard battle with trauma related illness, debilitating physical pain and mental anguish. He was hard on himself, and often felt he wasn't able to show up for his family & friends the way that he wanted to because of his illness, and that tore him up. Yet through all he faced, he never lost his amazing sense of humor.
His strength of spirit and his will power exceeded super-human level.
Perhaps his greatest legacy of all is his courage to keep his heart open, and to love fully - despite the pain he experienced in his life.
He was, and is, a true hero in every sense of the word.
