Timothy Lyman Hunter

April 1, 1979 – February 14, 2026

Timothy (Tim) Lyman Hunter, age 46, passed away too soon, on February 14, 2026. Tim was born on April 1, 1979, to Becky Hunter and Thomas Hunter of Canton, Ohio. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought strength and laughter to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved children, Tyler, Tyson, of Cleveland, TN and Tommy Hunter of Athens, TN who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also survived by his loving parents, Becky Hunter and father Tom Hunter of Canton, Ohio; his siblings, Tonia Averette, Thomas Hunter, and Tara Malzahn, all of Canton, Ohio; his nieces, Jordan Jones (Josh), Nakia Spear, Shawnece Averette, Kylee Ball, and Avianna Hunter; and his nephews, Gabrial Hunter, Bryce Malzahn, Cade Malzahn, and Connor Hunter.

Tim had a deep love for sports and was especially active in local softball, where he built many lasting friendships. Whether on the field or spending time with family, he lived with energy and heart. He will be remembered for his dedication to his children, his love of competition, and the bond he shared with those closest to him. Tim was also very involved in vehicle modifications and made a career out of it. Tim will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory will live on in the lives he touched.

Services will be held at The Church at Grace Point, 2575 Old Freewill Rd, Cleveland, TN 37312 at 5:00 pm.
