Timmy's obituary

Timothy (Timmy) Wayne Garvin, 52, went home to be with the Lord on February 9, 2026. A passionate follower of Jesus Christ, he lived his life following the Word of God.

Timmy was born on March 23, 1973, in Charleston, South Carolina to Elliot and Martha Garvin. He was raised and was residing on Johns Island. He was a very hardworking man, loving father and father-figure to many, and trustworthy individual. He grew up in church attending Faith Holiness Ministries. No matter the circumstance, he did what he had to do for his family and friends when needed. He would go the extra mile for any and everyone no matter what. The Lord used him in countless ways; he was a blessing to everyone he encountered.

Timmy is survived by his wife of 22 years, Heidi Garvin; children Shelby (Paul), Alexis, Selena, Connor, & Kaylee Garvin; parents Elliot & Martha Garvin; siblings Lori Ann Aguilar (Garvin), James Garvin (Amy), & Rachel Garvin; and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at Faith Holiness Ministries on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11:00a.m.

We rejoice and have peace in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ and find comfort in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 NKJV “For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”; Timmy is with God in Glory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Holiness Ministries 7121 Savannah Hwy Ravenel 29470 or the Garvin Residence 1510 Main Road, Johns Island, SC 29455.
