TIMOTHY's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Edward Dunnigan, who died peacefully surrounded by his wife and children on February 19, 2025.
Tim was born on April 21, 1950, to John and Rita Dunnigan and grew up in a close, loving family with his brothers Jack and Dan and sisters Peggy, Terry, Mary and Rosie. He graduated from St. Paul's High School in La Mirada, California, in 1968 and earned a bachelor's degree from California State University Long Beach in 1978. He also held a master's degree from the University of Redlands and an executive education certificate from the University of Virginia. Tim proudly served four years as a Boatswains Mate with the U.S. Coast Guard performing search and rescue in San Francisco Bay. He had a successful, 30-year career working in the telecommunications industry in California, Texas and Florida. In retirement Tim volunteered for 10 years as a tax assistant with AARP.
Tim cared deeply for his family and friends, and he particularly loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was always genuine and generous in everything that he did. He loved to cook for his family and friends, watch old Western movies, and travel across the country and the world.
Tim is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Debbie; his daughters Katie Roberts and Kristi Hawn; son David Dunnigan; sons-in-law Chris Roberts and David Hawn; and grandchildren Dylan Roberts, Allison Roberts, Hunter Hawn and Sedona Hawn.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Farmers Branch, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
We miss you already, Timmy.
"Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed." - Joshua 23:14
