I got to know Tim in his early days (early 1990's?) in Big Sky playing tennis and he was also working at the Sun Dog Cafe. This was back in the day when we had a thriving tennis community of a lot of really good players and we had so much fun (long before the pickleheads took over)! Tim was the most sought after mixed doubles partner, especially for tournaments! He would mainly bless us when there was good competition and he would show up in his unconventional tennis garb and his very unassuming self and before they knew what was happening, he would completely shellac the competition...with his mischievous smile all the while. Oh how I miss those days! Tim, thank you for the wonderful memories and for being my friend!

Timmy Samardich. The sweetest guy ever. Truly. 💜 He graced us with his presence. His smile. His gentle manner. He leaves us with the most beautiful memories. He lives on in our hearts and in all the rivers and streams. . Deepest condolences and so much love.

What can we say about Tim that you don’t all already know. Kind, patient and always encouraging. We first met Tim in 2009 at Eastslope for a birthday fly fishing trip. The lodge where we were staying had arranged for what we thought to be a day of fishing on the Gallatin River, but instead the lodge set up a fishing trip on the Madison (which we had just fished a day before). In a bit of some confusion, Dave Alvin stepped in with a solution resulting in us wading the Gallatin with Tim and us falling in love with Big Sky, the Gallatin and of course Tim. From the first double hook up at Moose Flats to the Madison, Yellowstone, Gallatin and Quake Lake trips we did with Tim as often as we could, we were hooked. His infectious smile, his love of “his office” from the scenery, wildlife, wild flowers and of course his knowledge of fishing and friendly patience with teaching, made every experience with Tim magical.
Tim you made us feel confident in our ability to catch fish and we did. We will forever cherish the memories we captured with You.
Lisa, you have our deepest condolences

The Geisler family is saddened to learn of Tim’s passing. He was like a member of our family. Tim’s approval was required to marry one of daughters, all of whom Tim guided. Our sincere condolences Lisa!!
