Memories & Condolences
Two years ago, the world lost Tiffany, but her impact and legacy remain deeply alive in our hearts. She was more than a mentor—she was a guiding light, an inspiration, and someone who truly shaped my journey.
Her passion, kindness, and unwavering dedication to patient advocacy and healthcare transformation continue to inspire me every day. I feel honored to have known her, learned from her, and shared meaningful moments together.
Today, I remember Tiffany with gratitude and deep admiration. Her influence lives on in the work we do and in the countless lives she touched.
Sending love and condolences to those who, like me, still feel her absence but also celebrate the incredible person she was. 💙✨

I met Tiffany only briefly a couple of times, and one was via Zoom. I served (still do) on the Foundation of the American Board of Family Medicine to which Tiffany had been elected. Her entire story, and attitude, as well as her incredible determination was inspiring!! I am a double transplant patient (liver and kidney) as well as a physician, and I really had hoped to get to know Tiffany better, but it wasn’t to happy. I read her books and listened to some of her podcasts. I related as both physician and patient. God bless her. Her legacy lives on in every human being that she touched. At least we crossed paths, though distantly and briefly. She gave me perspective.

I was a PICU RN at UNC when I first learned about Tiffany, and heard her speak at one of our conferences. No one could speak with her authority on what it is like to be a patient, as an adult or child, or what it is like to prepare for death with undiminished purpose and gratitude. She made me a better nurse, and many others, doctors, nurses, therapists and parents. She mattered deeply.

Tiffany is amazing soul. She saw the light in others. I was blessed to have been one of her last interviews for The Beryl Institute's Humans in Healthcare podcast. I am forever grateful that she pulled my story of mental wellness out of me for others to hear with her tremendous optimism, passion and positivity. She worked at Duke before I did and left a legacy behind. She is inspirational and has changed my life just by being in it - we never even got to meet in person! I am here in NC, Chapel Hill, and am available to meet anytime to celebrate this wonderful being and her life.
