In loving memory of our father, Thurmon D. Cottrell, who passed away on December 31, 2022. He was the devoted husband of late Dorothy L. Goodwin - Cottrell, loving father to their five children; Gregory, Robert, Thalila, Keith, and Darren (Tena). An adoring grandfather to; Gregory (Reek), Trelia, Jameel, Joplin, Michael II, late Dante', and Darren II, equally adoring great grandfather, admired Uncle to; George McClain, Dewanda Bennett, and a host of extended family whom we are so grateful to have had the pleasure of adding to our family tree. 

• Among our father's many accomplishments include; an Air-Force Veteran. One of the kindest souls on this planet, Dad was a gentle, giving man who worked tirelessly to ensure his family had everything they needed. He faced every challenge in life with admirable strength and courage.
  
  Early in life, our father learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in us. He was always there for us, whether we needed help with homework, or just a shoulder to cry on. He was a happy, honorable man, who taught us the importance of family, and doing what is right.
  
  Our father was a true role model who we will always look up too. Dad, you will forever live on in our hearts, and will be missed so much. We love you. 
• Thurmon will be cremated and laid to rest with his loving wife. A memorial service will be held in Cleveland, Ohio at Highland Park Cemetery at a later date.
