With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thoney Omoboye, a beloved man, cherished friend, and an esteemed pillar of his community. Born on October 8, 1963, Thoney left us too soon on February 3, 2026. His life was a testament to his warm, welcoming, and jovial nature, and his witty, funny disposition brought joy to all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

Thoney was extremely dedicated to his education and his field of Clinical Informatics, achieving his M.Sc from the prestigious New York University in 2006. His diligence in his studies was a reflection of his commitment to his profession and his desire to make a positive impact on the world.

A devout attendee of the Deeper Life Bible Church family in the United States. His faith played a significant part in his life, culminating in one of his greatest accomplishments, his salvation by grace through faith in Christ. Thoney found great peace and happiness in spending time with his family, friends and church members, elements that were ever present in his day-to-day activities. His favorite book, the Bible, remained his constant companion and source of inspiration throughout his life.

Thoney had a heart for service and was deeply committed to the welfare of his family members and the brethren of the Deeper Life Bible Church in Nigeria. He was selfless and extremely caring, always placing the needs of others before his own. His lessons on kindness, honesty, and forthrightness will be remembered by all.

Thoney's legacy of kindness, honesty, and forthrightness will continue to inspire and guide all who knew him. His passing is a significant loss to all who came across him and he will be sorely missed by the scores of people he impacted and helped. As we mourn his departure, we find comfort in the unbounded love and joy he brought into our lives.

A service of song to celebrate Pastor Thoney Omoboye’s life will be held on February 20, 2026, at 4:00pm at the Deeper Life Bible Church in Irvington, New Jersey and the funeral service will hold at Flynn funeral home 1652 Central Park Ave Yonkers.
