Tom's obituary
Thomas John Zrallack, 74, of Titusville, Florida, passed away on April 1, 2026, in Titusville, FL.
Born on July 5, 1951, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, Thomas was a proud veteran of the United States Army, having served two years during the Vietnam war. He was honorably discharged, attained the rank of Sergeant E-4. He was awarded the National Defense Service medal, Combat Infantryman's Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Parachutist Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/CO Device, Vietnam Service Medal W/1 Campaign Station Overseas Service Bar. He carried a strong sense of patriotism throughout his life and remained connected to his community as a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the American Legion.
Thomas was known for his strength, and his resilient but gentle spirit. Those who knew him remember a man who was supportive, brave, and hardworking, with a big heart and a deep love for his family. He had a spirited personality, a love for life, and enjoyed playing poker—often with great enthusiasm, if not always great luck.
After retiring from a 37-year long career with CocaCola, Thomas acquired a business called Palms from Paradise which was well known for their miniature, indoor palm trees which could be found all throughout the state of Florida in airports and souvenir shops.
He is survived by his beloved partner of 22 years, Kelly R. Barnes, whom he married on Valentine’s Day in 2020; his children, Thomas (Brandi) Zrallack, Jr., Daniel (Tara) Zrallack, Jennifer Miret, Nicholas Zrallack, and Joseph (Anne) Zrallack, Bonnie (Allen) Ruppert and Mark Zrallack. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and his siblings, Robert (Lillian) Joseph Zrallack, Jr., Elaine (David) Hirsch, Arlene (Vinny) Ditroia, and Kenneth Zrallack.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Richard Zrallack and Joan (Steve) Sopko.
Thomas will be remembered for his altruistic nature, and never saying “no” to a friend in need. He was the king of big nose jokes and could always be counted on for support - knowing just the right thing to say.
A memorial service will be held at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Ft. Pierce, Florida at a date to be determined.
