Such a genuinely good man. Jan and I enjoyed Tom's visits with us in Arizona and my golf rounds with Tom in Tucson, Copper Mountain, and Leadville, not to mention our days at Dillon Amphitheater!

I wish I could have been in Colorado to celebrate an amazing life.  My life was enriched thru many amazing conversations with Tom over the past 30 years.  He loved business, but, was most passionate about his love for his family.  The world is a much better place be cause of Tom.

Jim

Tom loved dancing to my music, and always with a beaming smile on his face.

Tom was my next door neighbor for many years in Frisco. Fondest memories include Tom's leisurely strolls around the block, his grand efforts to have a dandelion free yard - always out there plucking them out. He gave my son and I rides in his old Model T and honked the horn for my growing son. We always helped him pick up trash that the bears got into, sometimes we shoveled for him, and always talked shop/politics with him. He was a great neighbor and will be missed. One evening, an ambulance  hauled him out of the house and we yelled out the  window "we're rooting for you, Mr Wheeler!" Saddened by his passing but still rooting for him. My grandfather would've said "it's the end of an era." (A darned good one too)!

Tom came down to Florida to visit me and we went dancing at Sparkys on the waterfront. A woman came up to me and said sir do you think you father would mind if I ask for a dance he looks like a good dancer. I said I’m sure he would enjoy it, so she’s dancing with Tom and she said I ask your son if it would be all right if I ask you to dance. Tom choked and said that’s what my son he’s my buddy.
I have such fond memories of Mr Wheeler. He was always there to help Gaye and her friends. I remember when it was 80° below with windchill, and there he was helping jump cars at our apartment. He had many stories to share, and always with a pipe in hand. What a great life he had and made for his children. I'm sure he'll be greatly missed.

Mr. Wheeler was a man who loved to smile and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was generous and kind. He took me along on family ski vacations in his RV and we danced the polka together downstairs in the basement. When I came to Colorado he was always a gracious host. He will no longer be walking on this earth, but he will be smiling down upon us from heaven.

My condolences to Gaye, John, Julie, Kent, Jerry, Carolyn and the entire Wheeler family.

Fondly,

Cindy Dziki

Tom Wheeler...... Enjoy and love others. Smile. A wonderful man to dance with because ...Such a good smooth dancer and such a gentleman. ❤ His soft manner taught me the Cowboy Cha Cha.

My fondest memories of my Uncle always had to do with fishing. He helped me bait my first hook. showed me how to cast, and pardoned me when it came to cleaning the fish! His ability to make you feel special was always present and his generosity was unmeasured. A great man who will be deeply missed. Thank you Uncle Tom, for always loving me! Koki
