We announce with sadness the passing of Thomas “Tom” von Zuleger Zabrodsky, who died on August 25th after battling ALS. Tom passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.

Tom had a distinguished career in the aluminum industry, specializing in alumina as a commodity trader for over 40 years. His work took him around the world, where he built lasting relationships and developed a deep expertise in his field.

Outside of work, Tom was an enthusiastic skier, tennis player, sailor, and, in his earlier years, an ice hockey player. He was committed to his interests and brought the same dedication to his family life.

Tom is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rowena; his children, Carina, Charlotte, and Alex; and his grandchildren, Lucy and AJ. He is also survived by his mother, Lydia, and his sister, Monica
