[Thomas Howard Thompson], [67], of [Durham, NC], passed away on [April 20, 2021].

[Thomas Howard Thompson] was born on [January 13, 1954] to [Ms. Ethel Mae Thompson and Orange Rufus Peaks] in [Durham, NC]. Thomas graduated from[Durham High School] in Durham NC.

After graduation, [he] landed [his] first job as a [cement finisher] for [Morgan Construction Company], kicking off a [twenty-two year] career in [construction].

In [1970], [he] met [Waverlean Mangum], and they wed in [August 1995], [six children] children, [Maurice Rankin, Tonya Thompson, Richard Curtis Mangum(Tanisha), Brian Emmanuel Mangum(preceded in death), Thomas Andready Hunt, Raheem Demetrius Hunt, Jamiracle Thompson].

After retiring Thomas spent his time gardening, and spending quality time with his family, friends and loved ones. Thomas loved to play baseball and from what I have been told he was a very good ball player.

[Thomas] was predeceased by [Rufus Peaks, Harvey Lee Justice, Meredith Peaks, Catherine Bailey, Alonzo Mangum, Alvin and Earlene Mangum, Leatha Luvell Mangum-Chapman, Harry Chapman, Brian Emmanuel Mangum]. [He] is survived by [Waverlean Mangum-Thompson, Bobby Peaks, Ella Goodman, Linda Malone(Dennis), Delores Peaks, Christine Davis(Richard), Josephine Latta, Tammy Peaks, two aunts Martha Nee Smith, Virgie Mangum, Ann Marie Carrington(James), Mary Helen Mangum, Maranda L. Williams, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends].
