Thomas Darryl Taylor, age 63, passed away in his Louisville, KY home on June 6, 2019.

A native of Louisville, KY, he was born on September 13, 1955 to the late Jasper and Florence Ray Taylor. The Taylor family relocated to the Bay Area when Thomas was a child. Thomas recently relocated back to Kentucky after retiring from the City of San Francisco.

Preceding him in death were two brothers, Michael Taylor and George Taylor. Thomas is survived by his two sons, Thomas D. Taylor, II of Sacramento, CA and Nicholas Taylor (Mallory), of Bothell, WA; one granddaughter, Ryan Taylor; two sisters Yvonne Hill of Louisville, KY and Beverly Hunter (George) of Pinole, CA; and two brothers, Norbert Taylor (Faith) of El Sobrante, CA and David Taylor (Evamarie) of Millbrae, CA.

Thomas found joy in being Granddaddy T to his granddaughter and future grandson, Tristan Taylor.

Thomas has joined his late father, mother and two brothers in heaven and burial at their family plot in Springfield, KY.

The memorial service to celebrate Thomas' life will be held at Lily of the Valley Baptist Church (2391 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, CA 94702) on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. All are welcome to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
