I regret to announce the passing of Thomas Dean Powell, 81, of Omaha, NE on 2/18/2022. Tom passed away after a long, hard battle from lung cancer.  Tom was born in Burr, NE on December 31st 1940.  He worked on the family farm and later worked in Omaha as a foreman for Klaasmeyer Brothers building bridges. He enjoyed going to church and listening to music. Tom was predeceased by his father Thomas Dean Sr., his mother Dena, his brother Randolph, his sister Kathleen and his first wife Else. He is survived by his daughter Brenda, his step daughters Barbara, Sandy, Rose and Mary as well as his nephew Scott and nieces Allison and Mary and many grandchildren. Tom wanted private services with only his family in attendance.  A get together for friends here in Omaha will be planned for a later date and a graveside gathering will take place in the near future as well.
