Thomas's obituary

Thomas McDonald, a devoted husband, father, and proud Scotsman, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2025, at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife, Carol,  sons -Brian ( Emily), James ( Anna), John ( Melissa ) and his loving nephew David Capoferi as well as his sister Anne Vavrek and his 8 grandchildren (Aiden, Charlotte, Liam, Henry, Graeme, Violet, Callen, and Sylvia).  He loved time spent with many nieces, nephews and cousins .

Born on February 20, 1944, Tom carried with him a deep pride in his Scottish heritage. He later became a United States citizen, embracing his new home while never forgetting where he came from. Above all, Tom was a family man. He loved his wife and sons more than anything in the world, cherishing every moment spent together.

Tom was known for his larger-than-life personality and sharp wit, which could light up any room. His sense of humor and friendship drew people close to him, and he treasured the time he spent with both family and friends.

A man of many joys, Tom loved firing up the grill for a barbecue, trying his luck at the casino, and soaking up the sunshine in Key West, Florida. At home, he enjoyed relaxing with the Game Show Network, always ready with a quick remark or clever quip.

Tom’s life was one filled with love, laughter, and connection. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, especially his beloved sons, who were the center of his world.

He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his humor, his loyalty, and his unwavering love for those closest to him.
