Tom's obituary
Thomas Philippe Maschler, 58, a resident of Louisburg, KS, passed away at the VA hospital, Friday, February 16, 2024.
Tom was born May 20, 1965 to
Thomas and Rita (Plant) Maschler of Kansas City, MO.
Tom was a Combat Veteran of the United States Air Force and Missouri National Guard.
He served for 11 years in all and did a tour in the Persian Gulf War. He had an associates in aircraft mechanics and had special military training in aircraft mechanics.
He loved Music, movies, learning, cooking, reading, computers, the outdoors, the lake, exploring, politics and all motor vehicles. Tom was a lover of speed and the open air via motorcycle, convertible, sports car, or boat, and was an avid fan of the KC Irish fest. All of these things he loved to share with friends and family.
Tom worked hard to fight residual illnesses brought on from years in the military and tragedy. He was faithful to the Catholic Church and his relationship with God.
Tom had two sons, Thomas Parker (deceased) and Evan Daniel (19) whom he loved dearly.
Tom is survived by his son, Evan D. Maschler of Kansas City, MO.
his brothers Kristofer J. (Cathie) Maschler of Blue Springs, MO, David L. (Heather) Maschler of Wardsville, MO; eight nieces & nephews, Meagan, Ryan, Madisyn, Kacey, Mackenzie, Cooper, Connor; one great-niece, Brynnlie and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas Parker Maschler. His father, Thomas F. Maschler Jr; mother, Rita T. Maschler; and grandparents.
Tom will be laid to rest in a private military ceremony along side his parents in Louisburg, KS
Arrangements have been entrusted to Cashatt Legacy Funerals in Parkville, MO. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the his son, Evan Maschler’s education fund.
He is currently studying Psychology at Kansas State University.
