Tom's obituary
Thomas Allen Loudenslager, 62, of White Bear Lake, Minnesota died peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, December 22, 2024.
Tom was born on February 2, 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Joseph and Alice Loudenslager. The family lived in various locations until 1971 when they settled in Spring Valley, MN. Tom had a great sense of humor. His imitations of famous politicians, celebrities, Disney characters, and even family members was hysterical. He was the life of any gathering and brought laughter wherever he went.
Tom also loved and excelled in sports at Spring Valley High School. He was a three-sport athlete, playing football, basketball and baseball. He was a four-year varsity baseball starter and captain; a three-year varsity football starter and captain; and a two-year varsity player in basketball.
Upon graduating from high school in 1980, Tom attended Mankato State University in Mankato, MN where he played college football and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. Following college, he worked for National Car Rental as an auditor for several years before joining the family business with his father and brother in Florida.
Tom lived in Orlando and Safety Harbor, Florida for 30 plus years. In his last year, Tom had returned to Minnesota to be closer to family and friends.
Tom was an avid Minnesota sports fan, rooting for the Vikings, Twins, Gophers, Timberwolves, and any other Minnesota team. He also supported his nieces and nephews by attending events throughout the years.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Alice Loudenslager.
He is survived by his four siblings: Timothy (Sara) Loudenslager of White Bear Lake, MN; Judith (Dan) Halvorson of White Bear Lake, MN; Joel (Jan) Loudenslager of Chandler, AZ; Jon (Jennifer) Loudenslager of Longwood, FL; his Bahamian brother, Christopher (Fredrika) Smith of Marsh Harbor. He is also survived by his eleven nieces and nephews: Evan, Allison Jo, Emma Jean Loudenslager; Steven (Meloney), Timothy, Jennifer Halvorson; Joseph (Sam), Caleb (Aubrey), Noah (Maddie) Loudenslager; grand nephew and niece, Urijah, Serenity Halvorson and many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A memorial service with luncheon following with be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. at North Heights Church, 1700 W. Highway 96, Arden Hills, MN. Inurnment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church Columbarium, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi, MN.
