Thomas's obituary

Thomas James Langan, 65, of Leland, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on December 13th surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with AML-Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Tom met his wife Debbie in 1994 and they were wed on October 18th, 1996, just celebrating their 26th anniversary.

Tom worked with a variety of company’s over the years, including Newsweek, TV Guide, Heinrich Bauer (helping launch Women’s World magazine in 1981) and ZigZag Venture Group (publishers of the Russian’s Arms & Technology Encyclopedia series).

In 2008, Tom and his wife Debbie started their own company, American Builders Marketing Group & Today’s Builder Television Show. The two had an incredibly successful business with many pleased clients. Owning his own company gave Tom a great amount of joy and was something he worked hard at every day.

Tom and Debbie spent their days exercising, working, traveling, dining out, going to church, enjoying the company of dear friends and talking about everything under the Sun!

Tom is survived by his wife, Debbie and their dog, Rocky.

Tom is also survived by his mother, Carol Hayes; daughter, Kirsten Logan (Brian); Grandchildren, Isabelle Rose Logan & Brian James “Tripp” Logan; Sister, Lynn Marie Visconti (Bill) & her son, Jared Dorman; Sister, Theresa Luhrs (Kelly), & her Son, John Orr, and daughters, Jennifer Orr, and Kacy Luhrs Schwartz (Ryan), In-laws, Jim & Betty Ann Sorg Berube, & their daughters, Kristen Berube Galante (Greg) & their children, Andrew, Emerson & Parker; Jessica Berube Reis (Mike), & their son, Finn; and Jaimie Berube; Chris Sorg (deceased)(Sherry), and his daughter, Kynna, and son, Sean; Bill Sorg, and his son, Will, and Steve Sorg (Sherry) & their daughter, Kim.

Tom is predeceased by his father, Thomas Edward Langan.

Tom requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. Here are the details for his celebration.

Date:  Saturday, January 28th, 2023

Time:  4:00pm - 9:00pm

Location: The Leland Room @ The Fitness & Wellness Center, 2701 Brunswick Forest Pkwy, Leland, North Carolina.
