Thomas's obituary
Thomas “Tommy” James Kreiner, age 44, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 16, 1980, Tommy lived a life marked by quiet strength, a goofy sense of humor, and a gift for fixing just about anything. Tommy had a big heart and a deep sense of responsibility. He was selfless in the truest sense, not out of duty, but simply because that’s who he was. Tommy was the kind of person who could bring a smile with a well-timed joke, lend a hand when something needed mending, and quietly put others before himself.
He is survived by his loving wife, Becky, his two beloved children, Caden and Kiley, his devoted parents, Thomas and Susan (Moss) Kreiner, his cherished grandparents, James and Flora Moss, and his wonderful stepsons, Drew and Calvin Hildinger.
Tommy was one of eleven siblings: Chris (April) Kreiner, Michelle (Thadd) Gormas, Julia (Chuck) Bloomfield, Katie (Scott) Wieber, Joe (Victoria) Kreiner, John (Kaity) Kreiner, Kim (Dane) Schafer, Michael (Ashley) Kreiner, Tessa (Jordan) Osbun, and David (Zoe Hodge) Kreiner. He is also survived by a lively bunch of 25 nieces and nephews, with another one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clare and Catherine Kreiner, as well as grandmother, Marilyn Moss, Nana Peggy Moss, and multiple cousins.
Tommy carried a quiet loyalty, a strong spirit, and a heart that felt deeply, even when words were few. He faced his illness with bravery and grace, showing those around him what real courage looks like.
He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his resilience, and the profound love he had for his wife and children. He found joy in the simple moments and left an indelible mark on the lives of those who truly knew him.
A graveside memorial service to honor and celebrate Tommy’s life will take place on Sunday, August 3rd at 12:00 PM at East Sebewa Township Cemetery, located at 5680 Bippley Road, Sunfield, MI, followed by a luncheon at the Portland Knights of Columbus Hall.
