I’m saddened by the news of Tom’s passing. I only knew Tom from Authors Den where he posted his poems. I wish to convey my condolences to all that knew him best.
Tom and I shared poems on AuthorsDen for 20 years and eventually jokes and emails write up until he told me he was going into assisted living. Like everyone else has said I found him to be very easy to get along with and always upbeat just like I am. I’m glad that he finally found rest from his medical conditions that he never shared with me.
Tom and I have shared many memories over the years, he was coworker and friend of mine. I'll miss our morning coffees and talks, always kept me laughing. Tom had a good sense of humor and was a great friend. We also had great Christmas parties, he always wore a red sweater. He will truly be missed. Rest easy brother.
Tom and I were good friends for over twenty years. He and I shared a passion for writing, and we really enjoyed our humorous poetic duels on a website called Authors Den. We both had a very similar sense of humor, and since we were both veterans, we also shared a strong respect for our nation's veterans, active duty military members, and fallen heroes. Tom wanted us to remember him by making a donation to The Wounded Warriors Project, which I have done. I will always cherish our friendship, and I will always miss you, Mr. TomKat. Rest In Peace, Pal.
Tom was the 1st real friend i made in my poker league 9 years ago. I met him at a place called shooters now known as coppers creek in severna park. He was so happy go lucky, nothing bothered him, and he was always smiling. Im gonna miss him at the tables, im gonna miss his wild play, his care free attitude, but most of all, im gonna miss his loving and caring heart. Rest easy TomKat. The world lost an amazing soul.
I absolutely adored Mr. Tom, I shot pool with him at Tuggies for 6 years and have many fond memories. I considered him my adopted grandfather as he reminded me of my own “Poppy” who passed a few years back.
I would like to organize a pool tournament and 50/50 in his honor with the family’s permission. If there is someone to contact I would love to set this tournament up in the coming weeks for all to enjoy one of the sports that was so close to his heart.
RIP We never met but I know we are related. I have entered your information in my Ancestry.com family tree (Bernwinkler). Maybe we will meet in the hereafter.
