It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Hudson, a beloved family man and pillar of his community. Thomas was born on September 22, 1953, and left us too soon on August 08, 2023.

Thomas leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Elaine Hudson. A devoted father, Thomas was the proud parent of Sarah and Rebecca Hudson. He was also a beloved grandfather to Katie and Kyle Young. Additionally, he is survived by his mother, Norma King, his father, Kirk Hudson, and his brother, Chris Hudson.

Thomas was a man of many passions. He was a dedicated worker at ADT until his retirement in 2013. Beyond his career, his interests were wide and varied. He found joy in the simple pleasures of a well-cooked steak and the refreshing taste of cranberry juice. An avid fan of Bob Welch's music, Thomas often found solace and inspiration in his songs.

A loyal supporter of Tampa Bay sports teams, he never missed an opportunity to cheer them on. He was an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed golfing and fishing, and his regular walks around the park kept him fit and connected with the world around him. Thomas had a deep affection for the color blue, which always brought a twinkle to his eyes.

In 1990, Thomas relocated to Sarasota, Florida, where he firmly planted his roots and nurtured his family. His journey was marked with moments of profound joy, such as the birth of his children in 1974 and 1977, and the arrival of his grandchildren in 1993 and 1996. His sorrowful moments, like the loss of his parents in 1997 and 2002, also shaped the man he became.

A funeral service to honor and remember Thomas will take place at Gendron Funeral & Cremation Services Inc. on August 13, 2023, at 3:30 PM. We invite all who knew and loved him to join us in celebrating his life and saying our final goodbyes.

With his departure, we have lost a remarkable man whose legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him. His memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
