Tommy was a very loving and compassionate man. He touched the hearts and lives of many along his journey. He was the oldest of 6 children and often was the caretaker for his younger sisters and brother. He was a Pentecostal minister at a very young age. His love of music led him to learn how to play the guitar; writing, playing and singing both gospel and country music. Often-times playing and singing music he wrote himself. He worked for All Steel in Montgomery Illinois as a welder for many years and made many friends there along the way. He moved back to his home state of Mississippi for a short time in 1985 to reconnect with relatives from there. After moving back to Illinois Tommy resumed his welding career until he retired due to a disability in 1989. He loved to spend time with his kids, grandkids, and other family members whenever possible. He had a passion for riding bicycles after he was unable to drive anymore due to his disability. There are many stories of people seeing him riding his bike all over town.
