Thomas Robert Halluska Sr. died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2020 at the age of 89. During the past year he had indicated that it was his last wish in life to see this Christmas with his family. He did and, in effect, he “did it his way”.

Born in Pittsburgh, Tom graduated from East Pittsburgh High where he played football and then joined the Navy soon after. While serving, he met the love of his life, Betty, and they married in 1953. After moving to Tampa, he started his career working in the brewery at Anheuser-Busch where he retired after 36 years. He was an avid runner and enjoyed competing in local races as well as races sponsored by Budweiser across the country. He eventually moved to Lakeland with his wife where he began playing golf and even managed to score two hole-in-one’s. His competitive nature and commitment to health is how he lived his life to the fullest almost until the very end.

Thomas is survived by his: three (3) children Thomas Robert Halluska Jr (spouse Aida, previously deceased spouse Margie), Barbara Lynn “Bunny” Galle (spouse Michael recently deceased) and Robin Patricia Guess (spouse William).
He is also survived by his eight (8) grandchildren: Christopher Thomas Harrison Halluska, Erik Andrew Halluska (spouse Desiree), Alyson Darby Halluska (deceased), Amber Nicole Galle, Michael Russ Galle (deceased), Kirk Gunther Galle, Hannah Marie Guess, Lauren Elizabeth Guess; and eleven (11) great grandchildren (Ethan, Lila, Taylor, Neveah, Tristan, Hailey, McKena, Chance, Easton, Evan and Andris).

Thomas will be honored at a military ceremony to be held at The Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell on Jan 18, 2021 @ 10:30 am.
