Gerald and his family were my neighbors in Tomball. Great family and the nicest man. Last time I spoke to him, he was packing up the final load to move to Livingston and looked forward to retirement next year. You will be missed.

I remember when Gerald first started working with Gilbane. I believe the year was 1997. He was assigned to work with me and Weldon Yancey at the Lufkin High School Project in Lufkin, Texas. He was working for another GC at the time and had just completed building a multi story office building in Humble, Texas when John Castilla hired him away from that GC to work with us at Gilbane. They sent him out to us to get acquainted with Gilbane and for us to see what he could do. Boy, it didn't take us long to figure out that Gerald was a first class superintendent. He did not work with us for very long in Lufkin before he was assigned his own project to build, and the rest is history. We learned a lot from him throughout the years. He was a good coworker and everyone learned something from him. You could always call and ask his advice about almost any building component. He always took the time to explain and to be sure the job was getting done to his satisfaction and could easily pass any inspections.
Tommy Snider, friend and coworker.
Rest in peace, Gerald. You will be missed!
