Thomas's obituary
He is survived by his wife, four children; Jelyn, Jesse, Catherine, and Josh, sister-in-law; Linda Frye, and his half-sister; Connie Shoemaker.
Tom was born in Clemmons, N.C. to mother; Georgia Bell Carroll, and father; William Luther Frye. He spent his younger years causing mischief with his older brother, Billy.
As an early adult, he joined the U.S. Air Force as a photographer during the Vietnam War. He was always proud to have served his country.
As a civilian, he worked for General Electric which gave him the ability to travel to countries such as Saudi Arabia and the Philippines. He formed friendships in every country along his journey, many of which lasted despite the distance. In 1982, he met Melinda Magahis while they were both working in Saudi. They were married in 1987.
He became the Director of Marketing at Electro-Mechanical Systems International (EMSI), and on Thanksgiving in 1992, he moved his family to suburbs of Philadelphia, PA. Eventually, he started a successful business of his own, working hard to provide for his family. He planned long family vacations to the beach, amusement parks, and historical sites-- all with 4 rowdy kids.
He was known for his serious sweet tooth, fondness of video games, and his dedication to his children— always making sure they had the resources they needed to accomplish their goals.
