**Obituary: Thomas Burton (1952 - 2025)**

Thomas Burton, aged 72, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at Southlake Health after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his dearest friends and family, who loved him dearly until the end.

Born on May 31, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, to parents William Walter Burton and Margaret Jane Ford, Tom grew up with a deep love for adventure and the great outdoors. He was known for his zest for life, always embracing new experiences with an infectious enthusiasm. A passionate motorcyclist, he spent many happy days on the open road, a symbol of his free-spirited nature. When not riding, Tom found peace and joy in walking his beloved dogs, often strolling the trails of Sibbald’s Point—a place that held a special place in his heart.

He leaves behind his loving sister, Susan Ashton, and her husband, Brian Ashton. Tom was a cherished uncle to his nieces, Tracy Ashton (husband Raj Grewal) and Crystal Mancini (husband Marco Mancini). His family was his anchor, and his memory will live on in their hearts.

Tom’s passing leaves a hole in the lives of all who knew him, but his spirit of adventure, his loyalty to his loved ones, and his love for his dogs will never be forgotten. He will be missed by all whose lives he touched
