Thomas Frank Perkins 1941-2024
Thomas Frank Perkins from Ogden, Utah passed away at his home in Mesquite, NV on December 26th, 2024.
Tom grew up in Kaysville, Utah. Born on February 14th, 1941 to Claud and Nettie (Cooley) Perkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Jack Perkins, Courtney Perkins, Bob Perkins, and his sister Dianne Chappell.
Tom attended Davis High and fondly retold stories of playing football for the Darts, “big number 50,” he would often tout. He also was proud of riding his horses in Ogden’s Days of ‘47 parades when he was younger.
Tom was a successful carpenter and general contractor in Northern Utah for more than 40 years before retiring to Mesquite with his wife of 29 years, Deanna (Morgan) Perkins.
Tom loved and was very proud of his family. He relished in their accomplishments from his children to his grandchildren and beyond. He will fondly be remembered for his boisterous laughter, sharing his stories and life lessons, and for instilling his love for family and hard work ethic for generations to come.
Tom’s legacy lives on through his children, Debby White (daughter), Craig & Denise Perkins (son), Tammi Jackman (daughter), Annette & Chuck Spencer (daughter), Ken & Tammy Perkins (son), and Brandon & Lisa Perkins (son), all six from a previous marriage to Gertrude (Schofield). As well as his stepdaughter Brandi Morgan. Tom also has 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 8 great-great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Tom’s honor the way he’d want, on his birthday, February 14th, 2025 at a local Ogden landmark, Brewskis, on Historic 25th street from 11am - 2pm. Please send any well wishes or questions to rhinoraider@hotmail.com
