Tom's obituary

Thomas Franklin Fields, 65, of Georgetown, TX, passed away on February 10th, 2021 after a difficult battle with Covid-19.

Tom and his identical twin brother, Tim were born on May 27th, 1955 to J Frank Fields, Jr and Thoral Juanita "Neta" Cargill Fields in Brownwood, TX. The Fields Family lived all over the country from Brownwood, TX to Annapolis, MD to Corona, CA but finally settled in Lawrence, KS in 1969. Tom graduated from Lawrence High School in 1973. He was a photographer and on the yearbook staff at LHS. He had many friends and was involved with the Church of the Nazarene during his youth.

Tom lived in Wichita, KS for a time after graduation but moved back to the Austin, TX area. in 2000. He settled in Georgetown and has lived there for nearly 20 years. After graduation, Tom worked in a variety of careers from long haul truck driving to computers to being a machinist. He was very industrious and learned many skills through the years. The last few years Tom worked as a service technician for a Crestview RV.

Tom had two children, Robin Denell in 1978 and Daniel Lee in 1981.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, J Frank Fields, Jr, his daughter, Robin Denell and his brother, Timothy Franklin. He is survived by his mother, Neta Fields of Bethany, OK, his sister Tamra Fields and his niece and nephew MacKenzie and Joshua all of Bethany, OK. His son, Daniel and a nephew, Jason.

Tom leaves behind many friends. Some of which are life-long friends, Lewis Allen Hodges of Priddy, TX, Eva Limmer of Gatesville, TX, Janis Ann Wallace of Zephyr, TX and Glenda Gail James of Zephyr and a high school friend, Lynn Lewellen of CA. Susan and John Polk who were dear friends and helped Tom through this final illness and have been with Tom for many years and through many challenges.

Tom’s wish was to be cremated. He will be interred at Condon Grove Cemetery in Milburn, OK in the spring of 2021. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to his memorial fund to help cover medical and final expenses. https://everloved.com/life-of…
