Thomas's obituary
Thomas Sherwood "Tom" Dillon passed away on September 24, 2023 in Naples, FL, surrounded by his loving wife Roberta Dillon.
Thomas was born in Wellesley, MA on April 4, 1966. After graduating from Wellesley High School in 1984, he briefly attended Roger Williams University. Despite never finding school particularly enjoyable, Tom was fascinated by history and learned throughout his life. He lived with his wife and family in West Roxbury, MA. He had many jobs, but the most memorable was working for the TD Garden, where he watched Bruins and Celtics games, met many celebrities, and assisted the towering Shaquille O'Neal off the court after an injury (the best that he could). Thomas was known for his unselfish and heroic nature. During a neighborhood fire, he risked his own safety to rescue his elderly neighbors from a burning building. He also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as spending a week at the Cape with his wife and daughters, swimming and kayaking with Katie and Megan, and deep sea fishing with Megan. Thomas was also known for his kind nature, intelligence, wit, and his ability to make people laugh with his sense of humor and appreciation for classic and cheesy movies.
Thomas is survived by his wife, Roberta Dillon; daughter Katie Dillon; daughter Megan Dillon; sisters Michele Dillon, Lisa Dillon Arsenault, Cornelia Dillon, and Deidre Mehlman; nieces and nephews Mike Colantonio, Annie Colantonio, Craig Hoffstein, Kayla Hoffstein, Marissa Perron, and Cynthia Mehlman. Family and friends of Thomas will gather to honor his memory on Sunday, 12 noon, at Anthony's, located at 105 Canal St in Malden, MA. Any expressions of condolences and requests that any memorial contributions can be sent to 21 Warren Ave, Malden, MA.
