Passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones. Thomas was born in Orange NJ 1938 to Genevieve and Thomas Burns. He married his beloved wife Barbara in 1959 and have been married 64 yrs.

Tom had a long career with Exxon Mobil for 42 years. He was an avid Bridge player and became a lSilver Master. He loved being with his family, fly fishing, being in the Adirondacks with his family, the Royal Courts gym and tending to his beautiful garden.

Tom is survived by his beloved wife Barbara; his daughters Michelle (Ray) Carr, Linda Gallagher, Barbara (Danny) Ables, and son Michael (Amy Vecsi) Burns. Tom was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his first son Thomas C. Burns III along with his first grandson Eamon Patrick Gallagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Tom’s family on Monday, October 21st from 10-1045am at Christ the King Church, 200 Windsor Ave. Haddonfield, NJ; where his funeral mass will immediately follow at 11am. Interment private. In lieu of flowers charitable donations in Tom’s name may be made to Samaritans Hospice.
