Thomas Babcock of Port St. Lucie, Florida passed away on August 20, 2023. Tom was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio on September 28, 1944 to Burdette and Frances (Osgood). Tom attended Rogers High School and graduated in 1963. Tom served 6 years as an MP with the Ohio National Guard and retired as a detective with the Toledo Police Department.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carol (Cowdrey). Tom is survived by his 3 children, Tracey (Gil) Gardner, Todd (Janell) and Scott (Natalie), his brothers Michael (Cecile) and Richard (Julie) Babcock, his sisters Janice (Tom) Pearson, Patricia (David) Herzig, Sandy Hull, and Mary Karns (Tony). As well as his many nieces and nephews.

Tom was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed many years of golf, running golf leagues/tournaments and even making golf clubs. He also loved talking about “the good ole days” with his best friend Ron Bush. The two of them were larger than life, especially together.

Growing up in a big family he always had the biggest smile telling stories about his brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life will be in Florida at a later date.
