Therese Loraine Meyers Nunez, passed away to be with our Lord and savior in her home in the arms of the love of her life and surrounded by her children on December 4th 2021 in Gilbert, AZ after a courageous battle with cancer at 62 years old. Born the second eldest of 5 children on September 16th, 1959 in Tempe, AZ to Eleanor and Russell Meyers. She lived most of her life in the valley of the sun but lived in Illinois in the late 70s. She graduated Pekin High school in 1978.

Therese met the love of her life, Ruben in Tempe, in February of 1984. Not long after, he swept her off her feet along with Joseph and Erika her two eldest children. They fell madly in love and married on September 28th, 1985. They were inseparable and were happily married for 36 years until her passing.

Survived by her husband Ruben, four children, Joseph, Erika, Jamie, and Rj. Eight grandchildren, Hunter, Kaylie, Bryanna, Jordyn, Ayden, Allyana, Addilyn, and Ashlynn, as well as one great grandchild, Braylie, her mother Eleanor, two sisters Monica, Gina, and her youngest brother Ignacio.

Therese had an incredible energy and loved to watch her Arizona Cardinals every week and passionately cheer them on. You’d never meet a bigger fan. She was a kind soul to all, an angel here on earth, a loving wife, devoted mother, and grandmother to her children and grandchildren.

A devoted Catholic of unwavering faith, she was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched so many lives with her generosity, compassion, and tender heart. She left many broken hearts back here on earth, and will be missed so very much by all who had the privilege of knowing her and having her in their lives.
