Therese C. Carter

1932-2024

Winslow, Me. and Kenneth City, Fl. – Therese C. Carter of Winslow passed away peacefully at the age of 91, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in the Hospice Unit of Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Fl.

She was born in Waterville, Maine on May 16, 1932, one of ten children born to the late Alfred and Geneva (Marden) Poulin.

Therese had a love for people and used her God-given talents to care for many in her career as an LPN. She was involved in the VFW of Winslow and served as President of the Ladies Auxiliary in the early 70’s.

After the passing of her late husband, Robert M. Carter of Winslow, Therese summered in Winslow and wintered in Kenneth City, Fl.

Therese is survived by one sibling, Mr. James Poulin, of Fairfield, Me. and 5 children, Mr. Gary Fundaro (Karyn) of Springfield Mo., Mr. Dana Fundaro of Fairfield Me., Ms. Cindy Davis of Waterville, Me., Mrs. Laurie Sussman (Mark) of Dawsonville, Ga., and Mr. Darryl Fundaro (Kathleen Mitchell) of Lynn, Ma. Therese’s legacy includes 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren to date.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb 10 at Veilleux and Reddington Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville from 9:30a-11:30a immediately followed by a Memorial Service to be held at the Funeral Home.
