Background
Our mother, Theresa, passed away unexpectedly. Like many families, we are now navigating not only our grief, but also the significant financial responsibilities that come with laying a loved one to rest.
Theresa did not have life insurance, retirement savings, or prepaid funeral arrangements in place. As her children, we are coming together to cover the costs of her funeral and final expenses. We are hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover services, burial, and related arrangements.
We are sharing this fundraiser not only to ask for support, but also to gently underscore an important lesson we hope others will take to heart:
one of the greatest gifts you can give your family is preparation. Having plans documented, wishes written down, and expenses handled in advance can spare loved ones from added stress during an already heartbreaking time.
Any contribution—no matter the size—helps ease this burden and allows us to focus on honoring our mom’s life and grieving together as a family. If you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser or simply holding our family in your thoughts means more than we can express.
