It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Theresa "Terry" Knecht on July 8, 2025. Born on February 23, 1935, Terry lived a vibrant and full life, where she touched the hearts of all those she encountered.

Terry is survived by her loving children; daughters Judy Apple and Debi McFarland, son Robert Knecht, sister Sylvia Novak and niece Kim Novak. She leaves a rich legacy in her grandchildren, Jennifer Lux, Jill Pritzker, and Brian Swoyer, along with her great grandsons Teddy and Trevor Lux, who will cherish their memories of her. Terry was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Mervin Knecht, her dear sister Dorothy and her parents, Philip and Helen Fenimore.

Terry, an extraordinary individual, was known for her vivacious personality and zest for life. Her love for food was evident in her favorite dish, lasagna, which she enjoyed with a refreshing glass of iced tea. Her favorite musicians were Doris Day and Frank Sinatra, whose songs she sang along to with great joy.

Passionate about entertainment, Terry's favored TV shows were on Netflix, and she was an ardent fan of Broadway theater. She spent her leisure time playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles, a pastime she greatly enjoyed. Walking and swimming were also favorite outdoor activities.

She enjoyed working as a travel agent and she and Merv traveled extensively both here and abroad.  Her favorite vacation  was cruising the Caribbean Islands. The tranquility of the sandy beaches and clear waters provided her with the peace and relaxation she cherished. Her spirit and enthusiasm for life will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

We take comfort in knowing Terry lived a fulfilling life, defined by love, laughter, and meaningful relationships. Her legacy of kindness, understanding, and compassion will continue to be a beacon of hope for us all. May her soul find eternal peace and happiness.
