Theodore's obituary

Theodore 'Teddy' Robinson, passed away on August 18, 2023 at his home in Columbia, South Carolina.

He was born on April 11, 1958 to Quincy Robinson and Gladys Robinson in Philadelphia, PA. Affectionately known by his friends and family as Teddy, he was the oldest of 5 siblings. Growing up, he showed a great love and talent for music and could often be found playing his beloved guitar. Graduating from Olney High in Philadelphia, he later went on to work alongside his father at Imperial Metal for over a decade. He then proudly obtained his CDL license and spent the remainder of his career driving cross-country.

A comedic man, full of jokes and laughs, Teddy was the life of the party. He deeply loved and valued his parents and becoming a father himself. His love of music followed him his entire life and he could often be found at concerts and live shows. He loved to entertain and feed family and friends, while bragging about his infamous cooking skills. His favorite pastime was BBQ'ing on the grill, wowing everyone with his BBQ pig feet, grill duck, and beer infused chicken. His love of his hometown, 'PHILLY' followed him wherever he went and he will be remembered for his 'sharp' clothing attire.

Teddy is survived by his daughter, Tianna Robinson, his brother Alvin 'Tyrone' Robinson, sisters, Jeanette Robinson and Gwendolyn Jones, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. Teddy was predeceased by his parents, Quincy and Gladys and brother, Anthony Robinson.

Teddy will be remembered for his vibrant smile and jovial spirit. and he will be deeply missed. May his soul find eternal peace.
