Theodore Joseph Meyers (1952–2026)
The world became a little less bright on January 9, 2026, with the passing of Theodore Joseph “Ted” Meyers of Sullivan, Missouri, who was surrounded by family and friends.
Ted was born on November 7, 1952, to William and Margaret Meyers. He attended North County Tech High School, where he studied to be a mechanic. As a young adult, Ted enjoyed motorcycles, baseball, football, bowling, and fishing - interests that reflected his energetic and adventurous spirit.
After high school, Ted enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served his country for two years aboard the USS Forrestal. During his service, he continued his education and earned his GED. Following his honorable discharge, Ted carried on his love of sports by playing softball with family and friends.
Ted had a deep passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, NASCAR, the outdoors, softball, camping, fishing, and especially bowling. Whenever possible, he could be found at his camping property or spending time at the bowling alley, creating lasting memories with those he loved.
Ted was married twice, to Rose Meyers and Ada Meyers, and through those unions was blessed with three amazing children: Jeremy, Cassie, and Jackie. He was a devoted father, a loving brother, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend to many. Known for his quick wit and storytelling, Ted always had something smart to say and a story to tell, making every moment spent with him truly unforgettable.
