Theodore's obituary
Theodore “Ted” Walter Langlois, 74, of Agawam, Massachusetts, passed away on the morning of March 7, 2025.
Ted was born in Springfield, MA on January 30, 1951 to Theodore Ephram Langlois and Caroline Mary Gonet as the oldest of three children alongside his sisters Pat and Wendy. He attended Southwick High School before beginning his mechanical career fixing and maintaining rides and roller coasters at Riverside Amusement Park in Agawam, MA. Later in his career he worked at Kongsberg Automotive in Suffield, CT as a maintenance supervisor ensuring that the production machines were always up and running.
Ted was a loving nephew, brother, uncle, father, grandfather and friend. His radiant smile lit up the room wherever he went. In his early years, Ted could be found with his band, rocking out alongside his Uncle Wally and friend Tom. Ted was always the first person in line to support everyone; sporting events, dance recitals and every life event… it didn't matter… he was there.
He also enjoyed listening to all types of music, playing the guitar, watching movies, performing magic, camping and he especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends. As much as he enjoyed going camping, he enjoyed planning the trips during tea time with his sister Wendy even more. From choosing a campground to scouting out the sites and selecting the meals, he truly cherished every moment.
Ted is survived by his sister Wendy Cordeiro and her husband Geoff; his daughter Kristine DeRaleau and her husband Craig; his son Collin Langlois and his wife Kelly; and his daughter Emily Langlois. Ted also leaves behind two loving grandchildren Kaelyn and Logan. His memory will also be cherished by all his family and friends.
Although Ted is gone, he will live on in our hearts forever. The family will be holding private funeral services.
